Yves St Laurent, one of the world’s most influential fashion designers, died on Sunday 1st June, at the age of 71 after a year long battle with brain cancer.

St Laurent has long been credited, along with Chanel, to  freeing women’s wardrobes by challenging what was deemed socially acceptable for women to wear.
